Another common reason for snoring is smoking. When a person smokes, they dry out their throat, mouth, tongue, and every part of their respiratory system. All advice geared toward snoring prevention will tell you that you need to keep your throat and nasal passages moist and hydrated, as snoring is caused by air vibrating against this dry tissue.
